Exhaust Question on K9

HI

I've just bought a K9 SV650S, I take it as it had a lamba sensor that it has a CAT, does this mean I cannot fit a normal slip on exhaust? or is the CAT before the necessary cut?

The exhaust i'm looking at says fits 03-12 and comes with link pipe.

I'm sure you can put a silencer on it.
