BSB - how to follow british superbikes?
I love seeing the bikes on the edge, all the different UK circuits and the close racing which comes from modified road-going machines...
But what I've found is that unless I know anything about the rider on the bike, I really struggle to engage with how the season is going. A good example is Guy Martin, Ian Hutchinson and John Guinness - I watched the 'Closer to the Edge' DVD at Christmas and after soaking up a bit of their personalities' I'm switched on to their progress.. With the BSB I could point out Shakey Burn or Alistair Sealey in a line up, but the rest of the racers are just names on a race sheet. I'm gonna ring virin to upgrade to their TiVo service soon (so I'll be able to record the BSB racing and watch it in my own time) but is there anything else I should be doing to get my teeth into it? |

I-Superbiker might help you out and there is a new one at the cinema now about last season. Most of the riders have been on the circuit for a few years now

Brands and Snete are close to me.Realistically the 3rd attendance is likely to be Donington.
Cadwell is a brill track. |

And I highly recommend Eurosport's race day coverage and watching the support races too when you can't get to the races. I love listening to Jack Burnicle and James Whitham! It's usually on from 1200-1800.

Re the I Superbiker films for someone that doesn't know all that much about BSB I would recommend the first one.
The second one is a film more for BSB aficionados than the first one. |
