Exhaust for K9
Is anyone aware of a way of by passing the LAMBA sesor? I've cut too far on my exhaust fitting the new link pipe and can. The Fuel fits perfectly but the Beowolf is slightly shorter so leaving a 2mm gap between the down pipe and the link pipe.
I was looking at second hand complete systems and get these for about £80 upwards. After talking to someone yesterday they have said that the LAMBA senson will need to be conected to this so the bike works. So do I buy a complete new, second hand or is there any way of getting round the LAMBA? |
Re: Exhaust for K9
if you mean 2mm so there is a gap at the top of the slits then just cut 2-3mm off the end of the link pipe.
if you mean 2mm after the weld then it's ok as long as the link pipe seals properly. or just use the link pipe from the fuel. |

Dyno-jet do O2 eliminators.......(I needed one as my Akra system doesn't allow for a Lambda sensor)
They supplied me with one with the PCIII they sold me........which was wrong for my bike! (Should have been the PCV). Suffice to say, it didn't work. Kept bringing on the FI warning light. You could do what I did and get either your link pipe modified or move the position of the probe. It has to go after where the two exhausts meet though. I used a company at Biggin Hill Airport to weld in a stainless boss in the akra collector, so the probe could be used. |
