Instruments Lights not working.
Took my clocks off today to fit a new cover and thought I'd change a bulb that had gone, but once refitted the speedo and tacho lights don't work. I flicked the high beam switch and one of the bulbs cam one, I changed the other bulb coz that had blown, now again the clock bulbs dnt work. Have checked the fuse and wiring. Any ideas?

Re: Instruments Lights not working.
May have found the problem but can someone verify, according to Robinsons Foundry the bulbs are 14v-3w bulbs and another site says 14v-0.84w, just checked the packet for the replacements I have bought and they are 12v-2.3w. Should these still work? Also can someone confirm the actual bulbs that should be in there i know all 3 are the same.
Just to clarify all the indicator lights work (i.e Turn, Fuel, Oil, Full Beam etc) it is just the clock illumination bulbs that don't |
Re: Instruments Lights not working.
Haynes says 14v, 0.84w x 3 for the instrument lights on a svs hth

Re: Instruments Lights not working.
The naked clocks take the 12v, 1.7w x2

Re: Instruments Lights not working.
So I take it 12V-2.3w will not work in place of the 14v-0.83w bulbs??
I find electrics confusing sometimes Also does anyone know where you can get them, I can't find 14v T7 bulbs anywhere. I don't really want to pay £4-5 per bulb from Suzuki. |
Re: Instruments Lights not working.
I have old clocks from an sv400 curvy. Which i have all the bulbs for . If there saying a £5 each . U can have them a £5 for the whole lot
