New house!
Ok, first night in the new house, on my own, not even got the dog with me yet....I'm a teeny bit jumpy....might sleep with the light on. Any tips on getting used to it?

Get drunk?

Re: New house!
Congratulations on the new house. You could possibly do a bit of arranging to make everything homely, have a drink and have some music on for background noise.

Re: New house!
Think of the mortgage payments. You'll soon get used to staying up all night worrying about being in your own home.

No alcohol in or I would! And SH, shooooooosh. Trying to actually get some sleep, not stay awake worrying!

Re: New house!
Alternatively report a prowler and see if the lads will come round and keep you company...

Re: New house!
Leave on the telly or perhaps some music turned down low.
It's what I do when the Mrs. is away. I hear all kind of **** that keeps me awake when I'm here alone. and Congratulations on the new place!!! |

Bill, she cannot do that. In the UK you need to buy a licence £145.00 before you can watch a TV. They even employ people to catch you out. Being a plod she probably wants to stay within the law. Have you bought one yet milky? PS when's the house warming? |
Re: New house!
Congrats on the new place.
Invite all the orgers round for a party = no longer alone. |
Re: New house!
Get a spooning partner ;-)
