Clutch not working after I disturbed actuator mechanism.

Hi guys,
After finally getting my new chain kit for the sv, i set about fitting it after work in the small amount of daylight i had left... Easy i thought...

Got the chain and everything on but went dark just as i was finishing up, so i left it, got a lift to work this morning and carried on when i got back.

Now the problem, the clutch is not working. i've put the actuator mechanism back on as best i can but its not having it. Its chucked out a couple of little ball bearings in the process, some of which i cannot find for the life of me!
Big problem http://cdn.bikechatforums.com/images...s/icon_sad.gif

So... How have i managed to mess it up??? Is it the loss of bearings thats causing it not to 'actuate' or have i disturbed the clutch further on somehow causing it not to work?

I have no idea about this little set up so any help appreciated. The push rod which i assume works the clutch, moves outwards and rotates. Iss that right or have i somehow 'undone' it?

Thanks guys

That worm drive thing that the ball bearings fell out of is no longer working.Probably best to buy a new one rather than try to repair yours.Theres a post on here on how to adjust the clutch once you have got the mechanism back together.

Will the clutch not engage, or not disengage?
Did you remove the spiral lifter from the body?
Is that when the balls fell out?
Have you got the body of the lifter, (the bit that bolts onto the engine case), the right way round?
Did you disturb the adjuster screw?
Did you replace the spring plate above or below the lifter body?
