New Owner of Curvy, undertray and exhaust questions.
Hi everyone, yesterday i put down a deposit on a Red 2000 fully faired sv650. I got my full licence in 2008 but only just got round to buying a bike.
I CANT WAIT!! I went for the sv650 because a mate had 1 and said it was perfect 1st bike to learn to ride on road (we both racers). I pick the bike up next wednesday and already few cosmetic changes i want to make but strugerling with finding parts. Basically i would like a Tail Tidy - I have done a lil bit research and it seems i need to purchase a undertray? Do i then need to make/buy a numberplate and indicator bracket and fit to that? Does anyone know where i can get this/these? Also i want a Stubby exhaust - again i have done lil bit of research and i understand i need to cut original pipework? Is there any people know of that fit on without cutting pipes etc? also i guess i would like a double bubble screen?? I am sorry if this has been covered but i did a search and searched but cant find definitive answers. please help. Thanks alot! |

The screens can be had on Ebay as well as shops, like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-SV6...#ht_1249wt_932
No idea which ones best but sure a few people will give their views. |
Re: New Owner of Curvy, undertray and exhaust questions.
The MIVV GP exhaust is the only I can think of. Although it's easy to cut the pipe, you can buy clamps to fit the original can back on anyway.
http://www.motorcycle-exhausts.co.uk...uct--2621.html My Curvy SV has a tail tidy but standard under-tray, not sure what brand it is could even be custom but it's good. |
Re: New Owner of Curvy, undertray and exhaust questions.
any chance of some pics of tail tidy mate?

Re: New Owner of Curvy, undertray and exhaust questions.
Could do, will have to be tomorrow now though. If you'd had a good look online then I'd assume it's a custom job (I've never had to look). Probably easy to do your self, I did my old Hyosung my self with a small bit of thin Ally and some bolts etc.

Re: New Owner of Curvy, undertray and exhaust questions.
If you have a hunt around you may pick up a clear DB screen for not much money
Tail tidy there is a recent thread in Tuning and tweaking on the custom one a couple of orgers designed (it also some where in the sv650.org area) Exhaust just cut the old end off and link off and get a new one. What type of racing you doing? |
