Setting up front supension - Curvy.
 

Okay so now I have .85 linears and 15w Fork oil. Preload is set to half way.

After a brief ride front feels much stiffer but I couldn't really test it as I had to go straight to/from MOT plus new tyres on wet roads.

Now I should have some emulators coming also and I'm quite confused as to how I should set base adjustments, and what to adjust to change the feel of the bike.

Where do I start?

drill the damper rods, two turns of preload on emulators, cut spacer to suit, 130mm airgap

I've just fitted emulators to my pointy and using 15wt fork oil, if you set the emulators to about 2-2 1/2turns of preload on the spring, refit them and the damping tube, and compress fork leg(with no spring or spacer etc in it), add fork oil and measure the distance from top of fork to the oil level, set it about 130-140mm. The emulator is about 14.5mm in height when fitted so you can shorten the standard spacer in the top of the fork(its just a tube 45mm long) this amount or fit everything as is and back off the rebound adjusters if you have them. Aim for about 25-30mm of static sag when you sit on the bike. Rebound is changed by using a thicker or thinner fork oil basically, and damping is altered by the amount of preload set on the emulator, they recon 2 turns preload for street riding, 4 turns for track(harder ride), seems most set them to about 2 1/2 turns.

Are all these settings affected by weight or not so much? (just thinking as I am much lighter than "normal" at 8.5st

Bolt it together, see how it works, decide what to do after that.

That said Rob's suggestions seem sensible to me, but there's no such thing as 'right' - what suits you is right.

Ok I'll use Rob's guide setting to start off with - thanks.

I'm looking over the net for some guides etc of how to install these and some say they drop right in after drilling holes out, some say spacers have to be cut etc?

Some say drill additional holes, some say just drill out current holes. Some say block off top holes, some say close them up (how?)

These guides are all quite old and/or not with these particular emulators (if that makes a difference), so I;m not sure if all the info is right (plus some guides are written by people who sound like they have no idea what they are talking about...)

Dont suppose anyone here has done a guide yet? ;)

I close up rebound holes, I reckon it lets you get away with lighter oil which will be less temperature sensitive.

Rebound holes the top ones right?

How do you close them up?
