Replacement Keys - where from?

Quick one chaps.

Want to get another key cut for my SRAD. I have the key code number from the manual.
Can I go to any key cutters and give them the code or do I have to go direct via a Suzuki Dealer?

Ta.

Re: Replacement Keys

You say another, so why not go to your local Timpson and say copy this.

I got a new key cut for my K1 at Timpson, the key looks a bit ghey so you could get a proper blank from a Suzuki dealer or a Chinese copy from Ebay.

However as it's for FG I am sure looks are not a priority!

I have a key but it's a bodge job. It was made up on the remains of the old key which was split in half. It works but only just and I had to do some filing for it to work at all so it's not good enough for a template.

So I only have the key number for reference to the real key.

I had an option on an old abandoned Honda a few years back and got a key cut from the number on the barrel of the Pillion Seat Lock.

I cant remember who I used, but this seems to be a similar service

No connection to them, just some Google-fu

Lincoln Security 01522 532038. just tell him the key number - lot cheaper that Suzuki key blank - only a couple of days.

WOW!

Ok forgive me but am I missing something here?

All you have to do is walk upto a bike, write down the number on the barrel lock or seat lock and the internet will send you the correct key for that bike?

If this is the case I think that immobilisers just became essential!
