Tyre - should I change it?
So Churchill Tyres in Towcester say I've got 1k-1.5k left in the front, so my question is should I change it before Easter when I'm doing a mini 750ish mile tour with pillion or when I get back?
Sorry for anyone on the st forum. |

Re: Tyre should I change it?
Hoops with less tread are more prone to punctures.

Re: Tyre should I change it?
Why not ride 1k in the next 2 weeks and change it before easter ..might as well get the most out of it :)

Change them. It will be at the back of your mind (or the front of it if its wet!)
(And as suggested hoon hell out the old ones the now) Change them and enjoy your break fully. |
Re: Tyre should I change it?
You can put the old one on eBay. Someone will have it .

Re: Tyre - should I change it?
might as well change them, why risk ruining your tour looking for a tyre place. You'll get another 200miles so the downside is approx 800 miles.
Or change them whilst you're on tour..which itself runs the risks of what happens if you need them to be sorted out. If you change them now you'll get at least some sort of bedding in period and can sort it out if any issues occur before you go. Oh and have a good trip :) |
