Nice video. Love that track.

Not for me to preach, but that aggressive tight entry to the corners is costing you lap times. Worth doing for a do or die overtake, but it's slowing you down.

I appreciate what you are saying but when you race by definition you are nearly always off the racing line when you make a pass, what is important is to make it stick ;)

Lap times are only important when chasing down the bike in front, then you have to get past them which is a whole different ballgame. The block pass is usually the safest as long as they have seen you up the inside before they turn in.

not so, lap times are always important. If you maintain your speed you will gain opportunities to pass without having to tighten up your corners. Going tight up the inside, especially against more experience riders will just invite a re-pass on the while you are struggling to accelerate.

Try taking a wider entry and pass as you exit the corner.

Druids is a hairpin and once you have the inside line and arrive at the apex first it is your corner. It's a favourite place to pass on the brakes.

I understand that, but at the expense of your lap time and giving the next guy down the road an advantage. Similar point at Surtees, with a wide entry you close down the entry to McClaren, a tighter apex at Surtees gives you a faster run through McClaren and Clark onto the straight. Just an observation, up to you at the end of the day.

great vid but Dog cams don't like the wind much do they! I had to watch it with the sound off which doesn't add to the whole experience.
maybe fit it inside the fairing next time? :-)

keep up the good work and I really like the editing on the introduction!

Yes external mic was fixed just behind the yolk. Going to wrap it in foam and put it in a bag next time to get rid of the wind noise..

Cheers.

It is a pretty good video, nice job. Why not squeeze the mic in somewhere it can pick up your exhaust noise, the revs would add to the excitement.

Just one note, the foam is a good idea but the plastic bag is a BIG NO NO, whole different russeling noise to be had there. I think the block I know who had this problem used some insulation tape on the front bit of the mic foam, so as not to cover it all, then made a cover out of the tape backwards from the middle (just sticking the front bit of the tape to the middle, leaving the rest loose, if you get what I mean) so only noise from the rear came through.
