I didnt think while you were here but my dads got hte mz beghira, thats a 660 single you'd be welcome to try out. The tech on it is prob older than the dr so it should be a fair comparison lol

Any chance of a rough description?

Is it more like a DR600, or more like a big ADV type thing? Really not much idea what to expect.

Was ok, but rough and ready engine wise.
Bit vibey too but not too much to really worry me as I already have a fairly biggish single.

I'm afraid that wouldn't help, the mz baghira is based on the Yamaha XT660 engine (as is my Pegaso) which is year 2002 technology , the DR750 is a suzuki engine based round a mid 80's technology, it doesn't have the refinement of the more modern ones.

As I said Chris , Only have experience of the DR650 myself basically it was a big brother to the DR 350 of the mid 90's, so a 10 year evolution from the DR 750, more of an agricultural single than todays one's, very basic bike, bit top heavy for true off road use, relaxed enough at 70 for the motorway, but becomes tiring at 80, tick over is vibby and slow speed can be a little "lumpy at times, gearbox is set for off road so on road first is next to useless as you have to change up almost as soon as you pull away, but works well after that.

Cheers Mark.
