Reverting back to stock can?
My bike currently has a Scorpion can and I am looking to change it back to the original. How would I go about this? My understanding of this is that I will require a reconnecting sleeve to ensure the system is sealed. What exactly am I looking for and where would I get this from?
Thanks! |
Re: Reverting back to stock can
What bike do you have? I've got an un-used one for a pointy You could have for the price of the postage.

Re: Reverting back to stock can
It's an 03 pointy. That's incredibly generous of you, thank you very much! Do you know how I would go about doing the replacement?

Re: Reverting back to stock can
Just so we're on the same page, i'm offering you the re-connecting sleeve not the standard exhaust:D. I don't have the can, only the sleeve as scorpion supplied one with my latest slip on.
Not done it myself But cant be hard. I'd have thought it'd be a case of assembling loose, bit of exhaust paste and locate everything in correct position then tighten up. Of course I could be wrong but hopefully it's not brain surgery... Do you have an original silencer? |
Re: Reverting back to stock can
Yeah we're on the same page mate, I've got the original can, just trying to find out how to do the replacement and how to get the parts to actually do it. I know the replacement connector isn't that expensive, but thought it was a really nice thing for you to offer :-)
Thank you for your help! |
Re: Reverting back to stock can
No probs. PM me & we'll sort out postage/delivery etc. Ill dig it out tomorrow as im at work now, but I know where it is & it's still in the wrapping. Nice & shiney!

Ok, dug it out of the garage today. Looks like you'll just need two jubilee clips and a tube of exhaust sealing paste. You'll already have one clip holding on your slip on can. Just need one more the same.

Re: Reverting back to stock can?
Just take your slip on off, put the original can back on with that sleeve over the joint... You should have 2 clamps on your existing slip-on unless the can end of scorpion link pipe uses a spring.
Don't use jubilee clips they aren't strong enough really. |
Sorry, meant exhaust clamps. Cheers yc

Re: Reverting back to stock can?
If you want them to last the best ones are mikalor marine grade ones.
