That was enjoyable - except for the style of presenting which is in the modern, typically patronising type, and one particularly risible scene where the presenter surprises the photographers daughter with the film's existence.
This is a subject that requires no attempts at adding drama to it, and certainly not in a 'you've been framed' manner, then he asks if she'd like to see the film! What's she going to say - no? Ridiculous. Still enjoyed it though, this sort of programme is the stuff that Richard Holmes did best, maybe some presenters could learn from watching a few episodes of 'War Walks'. |
