on the scrounge

My brother is coming over on holiday in July and bringing my 8 month old nephew with him.
I was wondering if any of you parents had a buggy (stroller as he put it) I could borrow for a month.
Preferably one your kid has grown out of and you are not using but are keeping "Just in case"

Borrow a trolley from a supermarket and fit it out!

Ask on Freecycle if you have a local group, then Freecycle it again once you've finished with it?

If you've had no luck nearer the time, then I'm pretty sure we've got something in the loft.

Easy enough to get couriered to you

You and Hazey get your rrssss down here for a visit and you can take all the baby bits you could possibly need home with you ;-) :D

Re: on the scrounge

PS: It's the one bit you shouldn't have to borrow though, they will tag his pushchair as hold luggage at the check in desk, but let him take it right to the door of the plane, before they take it off him and stow it. Then on arrival they will stick it on the baggage belt with the suitcases. We took Euan's pushchair to Mexico on Continental from Edinburgh via Newark

Having to carry the baby all the way to, and through, the airport and having nowhere to put the baby down and sleep in the departure lounge is a nightmare, especially if they get a 5 hour delay. I'd strongly recommend they bring their own pushchair.

The things you may need to borrow are a cot (or travel cot) and a car seat. We have all these things if you are planning a trip down, though I dare say someone in Scotland will be able to sort you out (if not Sandrine may have friends from her anti-natal classes in Linlithgow that can).

I'd better get the spare bed finished sanding, re-stained, and re-erected then!! :D

I might have a Maclaren folding push chair but it's erh, pink. lol

I know I definitely have the 3 wheel buggy style "pram" (below) that you could borrow if you're stuck.

Cheers Jen that would be magic. I dont care what colour it is. It will be my bro pushing it lol.
He could bring one over with him but its a hassle and quite expensive as classed as excess baggage. Looks more purple than pink though.
