2 Weeks+Scotland=???
Hi Guys and Gals...
If you had two weeks to ride in scotland in July... Tell me where you would go??...what you would do??.....What you would see?? if you would please be so kind? The only thing to bear in mind is we are camping and have a small to medium budget. Cheers Dave |
Can't wait to see this thread progress as I plan to do the same thing.

Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???
I've just done 4 days up there..... Can send you the route files for TYRE if that helps.
Cairngorms are a must, as is Applecross (both roads) also Applecross to Gairloch and Gairloch to Ullapool are pretty good. Have fun. |
Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???
I would def include Applecross. Terrible with road names though [ I'm a wumin!]. Tiger and Kilted Ginger a wealth of info, why not pm them? Good luck.
I'm near Erskine Bridge [ on route to Loch Lomond] and always available to the org for food and pee stop x:cool: |
Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???

Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???
If you are on a budget remember wild camping is free, avoiding campsite charges can save you £50-100. Check out the various Wild Camping in Scotland threads
TAKE SOMETHING FOR THE MIDGIES--------you are going mid season |
Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???
Got my first bite of the season today Mac, little buggers didnt even ask!
Try and get some Smidge spray or Avon SkinSoSoft. Routes - anywhere north of the central belt is a good bet. Callander-Ft William, then over to Mallaig and back via Skye, Applecross, Ullapool, Beauly, Ft Agustus, Spean Bridge, Newtonmore, Aviemore, Glenshee, Pitlochry. For starters! |
Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???
Haggis, might see you next week------suggest wild campsite please and have you still got the same phone number?

Re: 2 Weeks+Scotland=???
We are going to Italy, and the journey in its entirety is 14 days, better than Scotland ;P
