Identifying Hagon springs - how?

I bought some hagon springs off ebay last week, they were lightly used so I picked them up cheap.

Fitted them tonight and the front end feels just as soft as it did before oncompression. The springs look identical to the ones I took out.

How can I tell the difference between standard injection springs and hagons? I would have thought the wire gauge would have been different?

No, they should start with wide spacings at one end, which taper into tighter coils

Like this

Standard ones only have a small section of tight coils if I remember correctly?

Did you change the fork oil at the same time?

Thanks for the quick reply, this is for an injection Sv.

They're slightly a progressive spring but no where as tightly wound as the pic you posted. The springs I removed (presumed they were std) aren't like your curvy ones either they're slightly progressive as well. I'll put a picture up tomorrow but if anyone can confirm what the pointy model springs are like that would be great.... I see an eBay dispute coming on

Stock pointy ones are progressive a bit. Post a pic of them?

My front fork rebuild has them pictured

Just looked at your thread and yes the ones I removed looked like that,

I will take a picture of both sets tomorrow.

Would someone be able to confirm what the pointy Hagons are like? I expect they're similar to the ones already pictured in this thread (very tight coils over several inches).

Looks like I got shafted... and that will be why the auction didnt show the springs just the box!

Here are the pictures of the springs, as you can see the progressiveness of the coils are only very slight when compared to the first pic of this thread.

I have just bought some Hagon springs off JoshWalker and they look very similar to the ones you have. There are only about 6 tight coils. I haven't taken my standard ones out yet so I can't comment on the similarity.
Are there any identifying marks we should be looking for??

Those look like the stock pointy sv springs the original hagons that were in those boxes replaced btw.
