Service (if needed)
Chain adjusted and oiled.
Everything together properly (Owenski!!!)
Brakes once overed
Tyres at the right PSI
Tools
Chain lube
Tyre pressure gauge (if you like me, sv4me, Hong, Christopher and doing 1000+ on the journey)
Spare bike key (just in case)

Kit:
Waterproofs are the order for Scatland
Waterproof luggage
Tent
Sleeping bag
Rollmat
Recovery card (These are brilliant as my cover is them in the North east http://www.sos-motorcycle-recovery.co.uk/)
Wallet with cash and cards
Insurance docs, V5 and proof of Identity
