Curvy issue at start up.

Hia guys and gals,

I brought me a curvy SV650 01 plate, back in April. I've had this annoying issue since I've had it and am looking for some pointers as to what it is. At engine startup, the rear cylinder does not appear to "fire" properly, unless I hold the rev's higher, say around 2500rpm. When I engage 1st and pull forward, it's the same, it'sd reluctant to go, then catches properly after about 10 seconds of movement, and is fine all the way. It only occurs when the engine is cold.

Thought it might be a bad plug, so changed them, plug that same out of the rear was a bit black, the front, fine.

Rear plug a bit black = rich.

Choke plunger on rear carb maybe?

Soz, forgot to mention that I have replaced the choke cable and as such, whippped out the plungers and cleaned them. Problem was there before I did that, and is still there afterwards......

Still on the running rich theme - float height?

Oh errr, taking off my carbs to have a fiddle i take it... Not something I've done before.. Is this is a pain in the rear job (hence a proper mechanic) or something I might be able to explore myself with a haynes manual?

It's faster and easyer to get some one to do your floats as if u get it wrong it's many hours of fiddling.

Well ... That's after I had a go

Just try it yourself, if it still doesn't work then take it to a pro
