Triumph TT 600 (2000)

--SOLD--

I have a Triumph TT 600 for sale.

It's not been used for 4 months since some asshat reversed into it and appears to have killed the alternator (battery doesn't charge) and it's time to sell up as I'm not going to get the funds to fix it any time soon.

The Good:

Brand new tyres (About 100 miles done)
Power Commander
Brand new Throttle cable and assembly after last one froze over winter.
Brand new Brake pads front and rear

The Bad:

Battery doesn't charge, possibly a faulty alternator or a loose wire, no idea!
It starts and runs fine if you plug it into a charger though.
Speedo reads random numbers, my local garage couldn't do anything about it last service as it needs to go to Triumph, probably just a software fix.
Heavy Cosmetic damage from the hit and run but nothing problematic.
Rear foot pegs missing (replaced front foot pegs which snapped)

No Tax/Insurance/MOT, is currently off road.

I've been promising I'd fix it asap, but the list of to do just keeps getting longer, I need to renew my photo licence, get it towed and repaired then re-tax/insured/mot'd etc etc and now we are being evicted and need to clear the house in 2 months and It's just not going to happen so I need to get rid of it.

Open to offers, it's a working bike, just needs a few minor fixes here and there, I paid £1,100 for it but at this point i'm looking for whatever I can get and appreciate it's in bad condition/position and don't need the stress of finding a way to move and store it...

It's currently located in Aylesbury and I'll happilly plug into charge if you want to see it starts and runs.
It has Keys and Fob for the alarm imob and all the paperwork as well as software and cables for power commander.

My mobile if you want to talk is:

Photos coming on Saturday when i'm back in Aylesbury

In response to a few Questions:

It's not CAT C or anything like that, just SORN, I was riding it upto the point my photo licence and insurance expired a few months ago.

Photos coming asap.

It's done approx 50k miles

I'm flexiable on price and you are welcome to view it, can't legally road test it due to tax/MOT but if you give me a heads up on a visit I can get it charged up so you can see it starts runs etc.

Simple check, see that the alternator wires on the first connector block (black) are not burnt out which is what happened to my TT600. The entire block was melted out.

There is no software for the speedo, it is most likley the speedo pickup that is faulty or the wire going to it which can get damaged and cause the erratic numbers.

The garage checked all the bits for the speedo and everything looked fine so they suggested I take it to Triumph

As for the rest it went a few miles over my head :)
Where abouts would I look for these blocks and wires ^_^

Dont bother with triumph, the service manual tells how to fix nearly everything and buzz out connections.

The wire you want is on left side of bike just above the alternator, its a black cable with yellow wires into either a black or translucent 3 pin connector, you can pull that and check for burnt out and/or resistance check the coils.
