Kirkistown Trackdays
Anybody been to a track day at Kirkistown? I know its a ferry trip over from Scotland but probably still the nearest circuit to us in Dumfrieshire.
Organisation, safety, circuit layout, etc? Seems quite cheap at £60 for a days track expierence. And is only £25 on the ferry, so probably still cheaper than doing a day at a circuit in England, and a lot less distance to ride to and back. |
You should check out nibikers.co.uk They have a forum and would be regulars at kirk. Be able to help you out more I would say

Re: Kirkistown Trackdays
Kirko is a grand track but it's pretty small.
As for trackdays I've only been on with this crowd http://www.kirkistowntrackdays.co.uk/ They usually run 4 groups which is different from the usual 3. I've always had fun on those track days. A lot of people go there and have some fun the night before the trackday and "camp" on the circuit if that's easier for you since you're coming from Scotland. |
Re: Kirkistown Trackdays
Thanks G, camping sounds a good craic, but the way it is cost effective is taking a day return with Stena. Only costs £25 return. Coming over for the Armoy race this weekend on a day return ticket.
Would be my 1st track day so like the sound of the 4 groups and looks a small / easy track to learn but wide enough to have some fun! |
Re: Kirkistown Trackdays
Yep unlike Mondello here there's only really 4 main corners in Kirko. Real easy to learn. But Debtors is what seperates the men from teh boys. 8)8)8)
