Rate my front sprocket!

I'm trying to narrow down an intermittent clicking noise and would appreciate a knowledgeable opinion on how badly worn this front sprocket is, I can see it's a bit hooked but I don't know if it's the cause of the problem or bad enough to need replacing. The rear sprocket looks fine and the chain doesn't seem stretched at all, can't lift it off the rear sprocket. SV650S K2 if it makes any odds :)

bit hooked and elongated but has a good few miles left.

Probably extend your chain life a bit if you changed it.

Any stiff links on the chain?

I don't think so but I've not taken it off to check yet, that's the next step along with cush rubbers and wheel alignment. I'd expect the noise to be more consistent if it was a stiff link, it's just occasional, generally when accelerating from a roll/away from a junction in 2nd, a clicking noise which disappears fairly quickly (maybe gets drowned out) but not very fast clicks and I'm pretty sure it's coming from the chain or sprockets... I should probably drop the chain off and soak it, don't think I have any kerosene though, is diesel ok?

Also check your rear wheel bearings as per <this link> I was chasing my noise for ages.

Cheers for that, I'll check em when I have the rear wheel out although it seems to be happening during acceleration rather than braking - I had already encountered your thread! :) Think I've read every 'clicking' 'knocking' or 'clunking' thread on here! None quite seem to match...

edit: whoops, this probably should have gone in Talk, Tuning & Tweaking... anyone care to move it?

Any update on solving the problem Kieranc? I had a few stiff links causing the same noise at low revs and low speed. Soaked the chain in parafin, cleaned it and re-oiled it to remove the stiff links and the noise went away.
