Maybe we need a group buy of the outriggers, we are only just getting the number of us on the road back to pre-winter levels :-)

I like that :)

Thats exactly why my next bike WILL have ABS, for a ham fisted rider like myself, it will be a good safety aid.

Fack ABS - I'm getting the stabilisers! How cool would that look pulling a massive drift upto the local bike meet :D

Yeah true, the less talented among us (me) would benefit the most from them :)

Very good.
Who already has ABS? Have you ever had them do the job and save an off? Do you switch them off at track-days?

I had them on the 'Glide, only activated once, which was on the i2i-mc Machine Control/Hazard Perception course. Had them on the R12S and both R12GS's but I don't think they ever activated.
Have them on the Ducati and they've definately saved one. A long left hand bend on a road I knew well. Long grass verges/high hedges so I was only doing about 50 but there was a low-loader I could'nt see, parked just after the corner. Nearly pooped myself but I could see the ABS light flashing on and if it had'nt been for them I would have been on the deck.

No doubt many will say they have superior skills and don't need such technology or that they've fitted some Chinese ebay Blembo Blake Pads that do a better job and only cost 50p. Whatever.

I'd say, if it's an option on a bike you're thinking of buying, choose it.

I agree, better to have it and never need it than need it once and not have it.

How did you find the i2i MC control course Clanger? I did their off road day and it was excellent. As far as I can tell from their website the MC course is at rufforth which is about 2 miles from my house, very interested in doing it but also tempted to do the off road riding again as it massively influenced my on road riding..

We did it at Rufforth. Great fun. No hands allowed on the bar's at 30mph and aim for a pothole in the runway then run over some bit's of 4x2 timber. Walking pace 5mtr circles and figure 8's, fast weaving through cones and then avoiding various obstacles , no clutch emergency stops, all sorts of tomfoolery. On ElectraGlides!

Recommended. They will do group discounts.
