Grab Rail for SV650 K9 Sport Faired
 

Hey guys! I'm looking for a pillion grab rail!? I'm picking up my SV 2009 K9 on Wednesday and I'm super excited! But I need that grab rail to take pillion! Upto which year can I use (backward compatible)? I'm new to this so please be gentle!

You can use any one from any pointy (K3-current), only the colours change for different years. Why does it not have a grab rail?

What's a pointy? Why is it called a pointy? And I've seen a curvy as well, what's that? :)
The previous owner removed it and bought a seat cover for it, and apparently you can't use them both? SO the rail was removed.
So any model grab rail from, 2003 to 2012 can be used? Ok, cool, thanks.
Mine is a blue, so black or blue, doesn't matter does it?

Just be careful as there are 3 different blues. A silvery-blue a turquoisey-blue and a darker blue! I may have a darker blue and a black one in my cellar, can check for you tomorrow if you are interested. :)

A pointy is an SV650 from 2003 on a curvey is from before 2003. They get called this as the curvey us quite rounded while the pointy is quite angular. hth

I have one from a k9 which is the bike in my profile

I also have one, it's candy napoleon blue which is a genuine Suzuki colour. It's brand new was fitted briefly when I bought the bike new but I had a seat cowl installed straight away.
