Hurrah Race Loom Done!

Hurrah, I've finally got my sv's loom in good order, what a flipping night mare !!!

None standard stuff wired in and all, just got to bind it in the morning, managed to chuck loads of the ' hacked at ' loom in the bin.

Going to bed with a big self indulgent smile on my face, compared to getting blathered last night cause it wasnt going very well at all, i thank you !!:D

Good night All.

Well done! I've got to make two of those in the near, (ish), future.

Last summer I stripped down the CBR's loom and discarded all the rubbish for lights/indicators etc that aren't needed on a race/trackbike. It took me damn near a whole day to do but the result is so much neater and lighter. One thing I did was move the reg/rec into the airflow up front. Hopefully that'll make life easier in future

Re: Hurrah Race Loom Done!

I would say do it yourself. I've never really done much spannering myself and usually pay an expert to do it, but finances say I have to get stuck in myself these days.

It was damn frustrating at times but so satisfying now its all done and wrapped up neat and tidy and I have a much better understanding of whats what if I ever get a problem track side.

Zoran's diagram is brilliant and so easy to do, if you want Mitch I've got my wet bike's loom to do and I could go through it bit by bit taking some pics as I go and post them so you've a step by step.

So when is someone going to change all the wires left in a raceloom to a high current wire that helps you go down one size in wires all over, you could save even more weight....
When it comes to tuning etc, "if you don't know what to do, make it lighter, it's never wrong" quote Torstein Durbahn
