BTW Mr Smith, I worked on a few building sites up there in the 1990's and did my boozing just 'round the corner from M&S M/Cycles's in The Broken Doll. It was the sort of pub where they searched you for weapons before you went in, if you did'nt have a knife, they'd lend you one.

I'm told it's been knocked down and re-built at Beamish, is that true?
