Bike journey check list?
 
right guys, im off to cornwall tomorrow night, 360 motorway miles, will be about a 1000 mile round trip. so tomorrow im preping the bike,
so what things should check for the long journey?

Tyre pressure,
Oil level,
Chain tension,
Clutch line,
Lights(?)

better idea.. don't take the MW. unless your used to MW miles for long distance you will get tired, board, numb etc.etc. take the scenic route m8 even if it adds 50 odd miles.

i did it earlier this year, manchester to cornwall, wasnt to bad. did stop every 120 miles to fuel up and relax for 15 minutes

stop every 120 miles.. your a better man than me as i stop every 50-60 miles on long hauls. it makes it less of a task more of a pleasure.

i just want to hurry and get there, its holiday :D i only stop cause im fueling up. once i get going, music on, plodding on up there, i love it

+1 on skipping the MW
I enjoy the journey is as much as the destination.

Only thing I would add is brake fluid level check and take a peak at your coolant reservoir.

Same! MW miles destroy my posterior in about 30 mins. Breaks every service station pretty much! :)

As Dyzio's list, but I'd add in a check of all-round tyre condition. I almost went for a ride last year with our lass ont back until I checked the tyre and found a nail!
