Curvy refusing to start.

Righto

Yet another bloody problem. This time its refusing to start!!
Yesterday (Monday) pulled the bike out, started it up and it was running fine up to the point where the **** touched the seat and it spluttered then nothing, nowt nada, sweet FA. It wouldn't run for more than about 10 seconds after.

I've done the plugs to rule out fouled front (they were not as bad as I was expecting, due a change though). The coils are all fine and producing a meaty spark with a plug in.

Since the plugs have been done, it cranks over and will start for about 5 to 10 seconds then dies and wont restart. It been tried with the tank up to rule a kinked line. The engine is turning over clear (by ear) but doesn't seem to be getting fuel.

Any ideas, this bike is one more problem like this from being reduced to component parts

It almost certainly will have a tilt sensor but it won't be that. That should cut the engine instantly.

No way! Well in that case in the interest of not letting me look like a plum I'll delete my posts if you do.

It certainly sounds fuel related, try draining the float bowls to see if there's water or other contaminant in there.
Leave the screws open and apply vacuum, (suck!), to the tap and see that it's flowing fuel, and that it flows out of the drains correctly, although I don't think that's the problem it's best to rule out the obvious supply factor.

Do that first then tell us what happens.
