best place for tyres
so as my bike got an advisory on the front tyre i decided to get rid of the crappy dunlop tyres and get the pilot roads 3's but where would everyone suggest is the best place to get them? through michelin themselves or through a 3rd party seller? also what are the tyre sizes i will need?
|
For size check what's on the bike now and get the same. Probably 120 60 17 front & 160 60 17 rear iirc.
Ring round local tyre places and get prices, remember to find out if their quote is for fitting to loose wheels or ride in ride out service. It'll be cheaper to get em fitted to loose wheels. |

Re: best place for tyres
I use my local bike garage, always reliable and the couple who own it are lovely. As much as I think that they are the best in the region, I think that it would be a long way for you to come.
Bridge Motor Services in Weston Super Mare. Just incase any one else wants to know about them. |

Re: best place for tyres
maybe a bit too north for you but Mitcheldever tyres usually have best ride-in/ride-out prices round this way.
Personally I goto Ride-in tyres in Reading as he's a top bloke and does good prices. |

I've been to Micheldever beofre - very good setup and very good prices. Car and bike. Will bear the Reading chap in mind in future if I need something quick and cannot get to Spannerman. |
Re: best place for tyres
just found out there is a tyreland round the corner, so will probably call them in a bit :)
