Oh dear.
I dropped a nut down into my exhaust pipe whilst ****ing about with the muffler... ive tried revving it to hell to get it to shoot out but now i have no diea if its in there or not. Me and the mother have rocked the bike from side to side whilst she listened and we cant hear anything rattling in the pipes.
I'm a ****ing donut :stupid: |
Re: Oh dear.
Wheelie down the road.
Who said that? Wasn't me, that's crazy talk. But do it! |
Re: Oh dear.
Nightmare! You gotta find it. Don't ride it till you do.

Re: Oh dear.
I cant hear any knocking, tinking or any unusual sound atall from the lowest bits of the exhaust and pipes, ive leant it far over each side and stopped it suddenely down a hill and nothing.... Its a tiny nut, stainless steel so magnets aint an option... am i going to have to take the exhaust system off yet again? Or could i safely assume it got shot out the back when i revved it hard

Re: Oh dear.
I think you ca safely assume it didn't shoot out the back.
Not unless it's exactly the right size to plug the exhaust, there's not enough pressure to push a nut when the air can go round it. |
Re: Oh dear.
Crisis averted... took the can and linkpipe off as one and the nut just fell out.... must of got stuck in the gap between the link pipe and the downpipe... i'm a happy man. Cheers for the advice (not so much the wheelie)

Re: Oh dear.
I'm telling you it would have worked.
Gravity rocks. |
Re: Oh dear.
Next time it happens put a hose in there, fill it with water, and it will float to the top. :)
