Fitting a fuel gauge?

is there anyway i can attach a fuel gauge to my bike? its really annoying not knowing how much is in the tank and my maths isn't great so cant work out mpg and stuff, so is it possible?

Fill Up to brim.
Reset Trip Counter
Ride till petrol light comes on.
Note Trip Counter Value (x)
Fill up ASAP.
Reset Trip Counter
Fill up before Previous Value (x)
