Basic engine only loom for Pointy?

Ok guys,

I am in the middle of a sv related project. I am preparing a injection sv engine to be put in a hovercraft.

I want to simplify the loom, to the bare minimum needed to make the engine run. What sensors can I cut out or adapt so that it will start and run.

I have a wiring diagram, and a good understanding of electrics. I just need to know what is essential and not.

Cheers
Alex

Excellent!

Unfortunately you'll need most of it to get it to run right. Simplest would be a carb engine...

I have considered this. However I really want to get the engine running on injectors. Any ideas what I can and can't loose?

I think what I'm going to do is buy a loom connect it up and unplug things to see what does and what doesn't work lol. I feel trial and error approach is the way forward.

If all else fails. Carbs it is lol

Would it be a massive strain on the weight of the hovercraft to leave it all in there?

No it won't weigh to much, I will loose what I can anyway.

Im building a racer so I will be saving a lot of weight elsewhere compared to the normal production ones that I build, which weigh about 200kg.

I'm going to use a special fibreglass lay up so its strong in the key areas but light where it's not as important. And I will use a clear gel coat, because colour gel weighs about 12kg in total
