this is from a scooby owner losing my son please help

hi all i cant believe im about to say this but here goes i have just been informed that my 11 year old son has around 4 weeks to live for those who dont know he had leukeamia aged 2 and beat it then last year we had the devastating news that he had a cancerous brain tumor they operated and removed it and we thought all was well until friday when we were given the news it had returned in 2 places and there is nothing more they can do to help him as you can imagine we are totally devastated and have to try to make the most of our time left with our little boy so heres where i hope you can all help me i promised him a few weeks ago before i found out about this that i would take him to a car gathering as he is a massive fan of sports/modified cars mainly subaru,s evo,s etc but i cannot find one so i thought i would try arrange one just for him so i can keep that promise!

everybody and every type of car/bike is welcome
can make it and make my little boys night a special one thank you all in advance and please put your name down on your posts to this thread so i can get an idea of numbers.

i have arranged with FRED LAWTON LTD MELTHAM MILLS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, MELTHAM HUDDERSFIELD,HD9 4AY to be able to use there car park for the gathering which i would like to hold on saturday the 8th of september starting from 1 pm

So sorry to read this, I will be working unfortunately else I'd certainly be showing my face. Poor parents indeed, but an amazing idea, his little boy will be chuffed to bits. What a show it's going to be!

I have been following this on Pistonheads.
The problem they have here is thanks to Facebook, the Internet, and Twitter this thing is massive.

There was a FB page (since taken down) that had over 1500 attendees.

One offer to pick the lad up in a helicopter!
I hope it goes well. Toying with the idea of going on the bike but have the kids all day.

i echo all comments already made. i'll pop over to say hello, wishing you and your family have a great day.

I hope that all who said they would turn up will actually turn up. I know these things get big with people showing Lots of interest but they don't all show on the day. The little boy will be so happy and it will be a memory his parents can treasure.

This will be such an amazing day for the lad, but for the parents, it will be a memory that they can hold dear for the rest of their days. Such a wonderful thing for them to be able to give this special gift to their little boy.

I hope it will be everything they hope it will be and more.

I'm actually tempted to go there now... It's a good 5 hour ride however.

Might see if I can drum up some interest from a couple of guys at work, nobody here going?
