Pointy radiator damaged.

Was riding home tonight when i looked down to see i had a wet right boot.

Manual says not to use radiator anti leak additives, it's not a mild leak as you can see.
Other than the obvious 'Replace radiator' which a quick look is goin to be about £160, have i any other options?

Obviously the best fix is to replace the radiator. However, if money's a little tight you're not entirely out of options.
It might not seem it but there's some good news here:
You can see exactly where the leak is.

Last time I had something similar, I cut away the fins above & below the leak and cleaned the area around the hole up so you could see the entire bar. I sanded and degreased the bar, then I wrapped some chemical metal and wire / mesh around the leak at let it harden.

A quick spray over with some paint and it looked pretty neat. That held up for a couple of months until I found a rad at the right price and decided to swap it out.

Cheers for replys.

Looks like could be permanently repaired then, and i have found a few car radiator repair businesses around Manchester i can give a ring.

Dont trust myself to do temporary repair as described.

Josh . No idea . can only presume a stone impact (despite having fender extender) during journey as there was no wet patch under the bike when parked at work (I'd have spotted that). May be investing in a protective grill for the rad in future.

Pointy radiator is currently shown as £114 at Aaron Radiator which is a bit of a bargain I reckon. Even Delkevic want £140.

Re: Pointy radiator damaged.

I stripped the radiator off last night and today took it to a radiator repair shop in East Manchester that has some good reviews.
Though the main guy wasn't there, they said would be about £25-30 .
