A quiet 60mph+ helmet?
Anybody recommend a helmet that doesn't suffer from excessive wind noise at speeds over 60mph?
I've only used a Nolan N84 before and it seems very noisy to me. |

Shoei XR1100. Best crash helmet I ever had, and I've had quite a few.

+1 for the shoei
or have a look at Schuberth, my dad swore by how bloody quiet it was, until it got stolen. |

Re: A quiet 60mph+ helmet?
As above, use ear plugs at 60mph, unless you want to lose you hearing.
As for a quiet lid, Schuberth are probably the quietest. They're very well made and comfortable too. The only downside is that they're jolly expensive. |
Re: A quiet 60mph+ helmet?
Scuberth are good but expensive-----my answer to the question would be look at BMW Motorad, almost identical helmet but made by Scuberth for BMW.
I have had my BMW Flip-front for 5 years now and it is the quietest and most comfortable helmet I have and it will be replaced by another BMW lid soon. N.B I go to BMW and try the lids on to get the model and size I want then look for identical from the internet which usually works out a fair bit cheaper from a reputable supplier |
Re: A quiet 60mph+ helmet?
+1 on bmw helmets although not a quiet as they claim. I still wear ear plugs in them but they are very light and of decent quality. Note the bluetooth comms kit is not compatible between bmw and schuberth.
