Cruise control on the SV?

Hi, to all as this is my first post, as just joined. I find that after riding my HD the one thing I really miss on the SV is some form of cruise control, take your hand off the throttle and it slams shut, so can't even flex your fingers. So my question is has anybody found a way to overcome this by fitting some form of friction screw, whatever, to hold the throttle open. Regards Ray

There is some kind of tab you can get that attaches to the throttle grip which you rest your wrist on.

Supposed to be good but not tried one myself. Can't be too expensive as its only a small piece of plastic...

Any idea what it's called, and where I could obtain one? Regards Ray

Re: Cruise control on the SV

A elastic band between the grip flange and housing provides enough friction to overcome the throttle return spring.

Cheers Mark.

And throttle mate, which is the Uk version of Go Cruise.

Hi Mark, now that sounds like my sort of fix, cheap and effective. But if that doesn't do the job then will try the Go Cruise/Throttle mate. Many thanks, Ray
