New bike damaged

So yet again I go to my motorbike and its damaged this time by a woman delivery driver. Looks like ive got to mess about getting it fixed only had it a few weeks.

So annoyed right now that i cannot enjoy this mild weather at the moment. The woman said O I thought id just hit the bun trays. Nope she managed to hit both the buns and the bike impressive going.

Again CCTV of the shops around me come to the rescue but she should have admitted it right away not just drive off without checking. When I called up she admitted it and she is going to get her bloke to look at it and was having a go at me because I just wanted to confirm that the bike would be repaired by a professional workshop.

That sucks...i had a bike damaged outside a bike shop by a fellow biker but didn`t realise until it was to late. Ruined my day big time.

Hope it gets fixed to your satisfaction.

Now that really is inexcusable ive knocked over a parked bike before while in my car didnt even think of running off felt as a biker myself id hate if that happened to me so owned up and paid the price.

Exactly. She has already tried to sherk her responsibilities, don't give her another opportunity.

Report it to the police. she left the scene of an accident. The tray of buns, she claims she thought it was, could have been a anything (baby in a pram to granny on a scooter). If she didn't bother to check she should face the consequences of her thoughtless behaviour.

Shes at it. Slap her with a police report and insurance claim. Something tells me her jobs in jeapordy with this incident and shes going to try and get her man to try and intimidate you.

Why is "her bloke" going to look at it? What happens if he's a seven foot brick privy and gets intimidatory with you? Or insists on doing the work himself and botches it?

Go to the police if you wish but defo go through your insurance. You pay them for this exact reason - let THEM deal with all the hassle so you get you bike mended. You already have the evidence by the sounds of it.

Insurance time!!!
By law you have to report the incident to the police as she's left the scene of an accident, which is a serious motoring offence.

I'm with the majority here!
