Fitting sat nav to a Curvy S?
Am wanting soon to fit sat nav unit to me 2000 model SY
I have a tomtom and a case for it. So I went to my local bike dealer and bought a top yoke mount. But I cant get that to fit and need to work that out. Next thing is to fit the cigar lighter type socket so I can plug in the charger. My tom tom isnt a bike one but a normal tomtom. This hasnt been a prob with other bikes I have had and the case I got is waterproof. I got another clock surround and was thinking of drilling a hole in that and runnign the wiring down the frame to the battery. Anybody else done this or somthing like it? |
Re: Fitting sat nav to a Curvy S?
many times, personally I wouldn't have a prominent 12v socket (such as dash mounted); on permanently, but rather ignition switched via a relay, I have both a dash mount and another (permanent feed) under the seat.

Hmmm not too good with wiring/electrices
Would either need an idiots guide how to do or sombody else would have to fit it. Am thinking the perm 12v socket as as soon as you pull the charger out it cuts the power to it (correct me if Im wrong) |
