Anyone on here do trials riding - recreational or competing?

Anyone on here do trials riding - recreational or competing?

If so what do you ride?

What bike did you start on?

What kit do you need, and what can you get by with?

What's most important to look for in a second hand trials bike?

Are there any good forums?

In that case no lol

I quite like watching that so when you do some, can we see some footage etc?

I want to go and watch a trials event, it's on my to do list next year.

Mate dabbled a while ago in this. He practiced his **** off on a crappy mountain.
Then got a gas gas 300cc.

i had a beta rev 3 250 cc trials bike to mess about on and it was plenty powerful, a bit strange to use the kick start as it was on the " wrong "side of the engine never did any competitions and sold it when they shut down the flappits quarry near halifax, good fun though

BETA Rev 3. Did one competition - a lot of standing around looking at the ground and very little riding - consensus => not for me!

A mate of mine is into trials riding....he`s had every type and size under the sun. He says the best made trials bikes are the montessa....they come under the honda group. they`re a little heavier than some of the others but at about 70kg they`re not what you`d call a heavy bike, they tend to hold there value better too.

There's a place near to us where you can go and ride your heart out, so planning on doing it with some mates rather than competing in competitions.

Sounds like the Beta is a fine machine from the above for what I'll need, I'll definitely keep it in mind.

And nice to see you about Blue ;)
