Compatibility of parts - what fits a 2011 model?
 

Hi All, I own a 2011 SV650 in Black and I'm looking for the little things to put on my bike to make it my own.
However I keep finding various things on eBay that are listed to fit certain age ranges of the SV650 eg 2003-2008 which puts me off buying them because I don't want them to not fit.

What other years are compatible with 2011?, thanks :)

From 2007 is a safe bet but I think 2004 up is mostly compatible. The parts numbers should tell you but, unless they redesigned the 2011 there should be no difference with an 09 for example.

I've read a few things changed between the ABS and non-ABS models but I doubt I'll be buying anything which that will come into consideration to, I believe there was a change in the sub-frame to at some point in the 'pointy' era, not sure whether or not thats going to be a big deal either, but thanks for the reply/help anywho :)

Subframe change was 04 onwards. Dual spark 06? Surprised some of the more educated haven't responded. In general, bodywork is the same on the new generation. Swingarm, suspension, controls are also the same. Depends on what you want. Mention the part you're thinking of and we can tell you.
