Looking at the Met office I'd keep your shorts in the bottom draw for a bit longer

The most likely scenario is for initially cold conditions in the east to be replaced for a time by less-cold conditions spreading in from the west. At present this is thought likely to be a temporary change in weather type however, as colder weather and below-average temperatures probably come to dominate once more towards mid-month. In terms of rain and snowfall, southern parts will probably start wetter than average, but trend to nearer normal by mid-month, while the north will probably see drier than average conditions throughout. Meanwhile, the frequency of snow events during this period may be greater than average.

im off to prague on friday, highs of -7 and lows of -19!! im going to get cold me thinks! will also check out the possibility of a gm eurotrip :)
