Removing number plate light?
As per the title really. Just toying around with shortening my snow plow, but can't figure out how to get the number plate light off? Can't seem to find any bolts or screws securing it.

Re: Removing number plate light?
should be 2 nuts on the back studs holding it to the mud guard

Re: Removing number plate light?
So to get at them I guess I have to remove the entire seat unit? :(
|
Re: Removing number plate light?
Nope, should be able to get at it from the rear wheel

Re: Removing number plate light?
Nope. There's a bolt for the reflector but nothing for the number plate light

Re: Removing number plate light?
I think a pic may help.
You might have a barstardised one. ' |
Re: Removing number plate light?
Have locked my damn keys in the shed so can't get at the bike at the moment (until I can find the spare key )
It looks totally standard back there. Very peculiar... |
Re: Removing number plate light?
Just remember that when you've finished shortening things you still need a reflector and number plate light for your MoT. If you've removed them both you'll have to rig up replacements.

I dont think you need a number plate light for the MOT although the police might take a closer look
