Erm. Hilariously weird.
I've not used a centre stand since the DAS, so I thought I'd have a quick look on YouTube for a refresher. Found a good vid, easy peasy, just as I remember it. Done. Then found myself clicking another one .... erm ... and it was this one. Never seen a vid that was cringe worthy, funny, horrific and scary all in one go. :smt107

Re: Erm. Hilariously weird.
Most folk with missing limbs act like they are still attached. Seen here with the hand on hip. All perfectly normal for him no doubt. Hes had a lot of practise and no doubt actually does it better without his prosthesis. I find actually very inspiring. I can't do the centre stand trick, my old spine injury doesn't like it.
I don't find it cringe worthy at all. I had a friend with a leg missing below the knee who rode an old kwak. The really hilarious and cringworthy thing about him was his prosthetic flapping around at the side of the bike down the motorway, and the look of car drivers horror at him riding past. This bloke built trikes, and needed help lifting over the saddle of a bike. Crawled around a lot on his stump.....and took great pleasure in biting your ass when you weren't looking! Peg has both legs, but with total nerve damage surrounding his not very there knee, means he has no feeling there or in his right foot. Now that does make me cringe when I'm on the back of the Zzr, he struggles at times when having to put his foot down to steady it....... Not a funny excuse if he's driving slightly spirited either :smt075 |
Re: Erm. Hilariously weird.
I didn't think the prosthetic was cringe worthy Lou. In fact, that made me warm to him when otherwise I would've thought he was a proper numpty. It's more the bizarre behaviour and down right creepy intro. I thought he was just another weirdo who doesn't understand editing with the whole jacket thing, until I realised it was because of his arm.
The whole Charlie Chaplain silent movie apart from the squeeky boots is weird too, plus the lack of trousers ... obviously for some bizarre comical effect. Leaving your helmet on for the whole movie. Always weird! The missing arm is pretty low on the list of notable features tbh! :D |
Re: Erm. Hilariously weird.
It made me wonder what you were getting at, if I'm honest.
I was more concerned with the manly blue saggy bum pants :p |
Re: Erm. Hilariously weird.
Ok, errrr very weird, with the whole pants and scratching his ****.

Re: Erm. Hilariously weird.
Hmmm, sexy man pants!
Any of you male Orgers fancy stripping down to your pants for us hot blooded women? Don't know why I am asking, it would be of no interest to me! ;-) Cool video though, although a bit of a chat to let folks know what he planned on doing would have been nice. |
