Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
Morning All
My kids have a lot of DVD's that are scratched and skip and jump when watching, I am thinking it would be cheaper to invest in a scratch remover rather than replace a DVD everytime they go. Does anyone know of a decent device I can use, I had one a few years ago and it was rubbish, made the discs worse. Cheers OMO |
Re: Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
For Perspex you can use liquid Brasso and a soft cloth to sort out scratches. Not sure what CDs are made of but you could try one you're less fussed about.

Re: Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
I found a thing online saying generic metal polish, will autosol work as I have that?

Re: Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
It's more of a paste. Liquid Brasso is an opaque liquid, no scratchy granules

Re: Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
I was once told mayonnaise and a freezer for a temporary fix.
Then get the CDs copied. |
Re: Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
Best food one I heard is Banana .
I've a skip doctor. its not all is cracked up to be . Did get Davids "final wars" going ok to copy . but there are buffing marks it left behind . |
Re: Dvd/Cd Scratch remover
I have a bottle of Philips CD polish and some soft cloths and that is good for small scratches and the like. I also find that a dip in clean washing up water is good for general dirt that kids leave on Disks. Get rid of the filth and the polish is a lot easier. However the polish does not get rid of deep scores in the plastic.
