Value my bike.

Hi all,

Thinking about parting with my sv650, it's a 2003 k3 grand candy blue with 2200 miles on it only. All original and in excellent condition. Apart from slight pitting on the bottom of the forks, which is common so I've read.

Just wondering what sort of price I'd get? I'm not sure what the going rate is now. I can get a years mot on, but it is currently sorn.

Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place. It's not for sale yet...

Thanks...

As always it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Seen some 2003/2004 going for £1400 with high mileage and some lower mileage with extras going for £1900 recently on ebay. The ones for sale at over £2000 have been for sale for quite a long time. I came across a curvy in average condition and little in the way of extras up for £2750 recently, think that might be sat for some time.

+1 to what winder says.
I'm listing one for sale myself shortly so I've kept an eye out on eBay sale prices and I've picked up on much the same as the above.
£1100 was as high as it got for a k3 naked with 20k on the clock.
An L2 reached £3200 and had a fantastic amount of extras included.

Both of those failed to sell as neither met reserve. I've also seen various k5 and k6 models go through, which at auction rarely break £2000.

In your case i would Price it to sell and id list it at £1600 but accept any offers over £1400.

How has it only got 2200 miles on it? Don't even know how many miles mine has on it, should really check. Prob close to 27k, also a K3 in copper colour. I would prob expect £1300-£1600 for it depending on the time of year, maybe less.

It is only worth what someone will pay for it.

Some might be cautious of a bike that age with so few miles on it. Take it on some long rides and enjoy it.

Thanks for the input guys...
Yeah only 2200 miles, still has the same lovely Dunlop's on and all the warning stickers, lol.

Probably will keep it, was thinking I might get more with the miles and condition, but yes it is a 10 year old bike never less. I know I'd struggle to get something this good for £1400+.

But I appreciate the feedback...

Safe riding..

Be careful on those tyres if they are 10 years old! If you are going to keep it I would stick some fresh rubber on it.

Yes I'd defiantly get some fresh rubber on... Maybe Michelin pilot 3's, heard they supposed to be good for the bike?

I've got pilot 3s. I like them, though I don't ride on the edge, i commute. Feels grippy in the wet and cold.

Is this bike for sale? Or are you just requesting evaluation?
