SV650 Airbox fitting help?
Hey guys, got my new sv650 today transitioning from my moped, fitted the washers to restrict the bike in the pipes underneath the air box pipes (by slotting the discs into the rubbers of the airbox) and was just wondering considering there was only one jubilee clip around the airbox covers if that was all you needed to hold it in place (including the electric connections and pipes)
any help would be very much appreciated :) Peace |
Re: SV650 Airbox help :)
Welcome!
Do you mean one jubilee clip holding the airbox onto each of the rubbers (two in total)? If so, then yes I believe this is normal.(well mine only had one jubilee clip per cylinder :) ) Tom |
Re: SV650 Airbox help :)
Cheers for the reply man, so happy I've got the bike now coming from a short 50cc, seemed odd because it was a little bit loose and for lack of a better word "wobbly" I need to take it in to the mechanic as we weren't able to fit the throttle stop, just going to have been really careful not to over rev it ;/

It's a K6 mate

Re: SV650 Airbox help :)
I would get an ecu restrictor if you have a long time left on your restriction. Much smoother power delivery.

Re: SV650 Airbox fitting help?
I would like to get one one but you don't see them for sale that often, and new ecu's are stupidly expensive, so when it came time to get the bike i had to go for the less favourable option :L just gonna have to look out and wait until one comes up for sale

If you have the chance to get one grab it you wont regret it trust me.. Oh and yes one jubbly clip only at each tb on the air box just make sure you have it pushed all the home so it seals nice and tight and they are a wee wobley once fitted. |
