1999 SV650 Streetfighter
Still got this available for sale as I really dont see myself riding it on the road anymore.
This started off as a normal SV650 until I thought about modding it a little – then I just got a little carried away and this is what happened! http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0045.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0046.jpghttp://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0047.jpghttp://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0048.jpghttp://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0049.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0050.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0051.jpghttp://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/IMG_0052.jpg Along the way the following were introduced: •Powdercoated Frame and Swingarm •Carbon Fibre Wrapped (by me so could be redone professionally if you wanted or remove and polish the Ford Panther Black paint underneath. ‘It’s a black basecoat paint with large silver and blue flakes to give it a distinct look in the sunshine.) •Rare Twin Underseat Carbon Renegade Exhaust System plus custom undertray & Tail tidy. •GSXR 750 SRAD USD Front Forks using TWF Headstock Bearing •GSXR 750 SRAD front wheel •Stock Steering Lock reatined •6 pot Tokico Calipers with EBC HH Pads •320mm Wavey Front Discs by ‘Braking’ •Tuned Carbs with bigger jets •Yamaha R1 Radial Front Brake master cylinder and GSXR 750 K7 Clutch Perch •Pirelli Supercorsas (120/70 Front and 160/60 Rear) •Rear Wavy Disc by ABE •Datatool Veto Alarm •Koso Clocks RX1N (fuel and speed reading tempamental) •Engine Crash Bars (not yet fitted) •R&G Crash Bungs •Twin FIAMM Horns •Renthal Style Drag Handlebars •GSXR Rearsets •Chrome Finish Side Panels and tank trim •BMC Race Filter •Acerbis Custom Front Headlight and Fairing. •Renthal Grips (Medium) •Rear Seat Cowl and Pillion Seat •Braided Brake Lines (front and rear) •15T Front Sprocket, 48T Rear Sprocket, DID Chain •GSXR SRAD Rear Shock •Jack Up kit •GSXR K series side stand •Timing Retard Eliminated I’ve rode the bike for about three years solid so I know its put together properly. I have pics of the build and will supply. The bike has been stood for a while so tax and test. I have the V5 present in my name and also the paperwork for the alarm so you can receive insurance benefits. I have two keys and two alarm fobs. Doesn't need much doing for MOT. I can arrange with buyer. Asking Ł1500 but will consider offers... Drop me a PM... |

Re: 1999 SV650 Streefighter
what would it need doing for MOT?
|
Re: 1999 SV650 Streefighter
Right now I think it'll need fork seals as they weeped a bit.
Other that that I'm sure everything else is fine. I'll probably do the fork seals myself if I get some spare time. I could probably sort an MOT too. |

Re: 1999 SV650 Streefighter
Right,
Thanks for all the comments guys and questions about what need doing. Bearing in mind I had this on the road for a few years and then off for about 3/4 - a general service would be key. So at the time of writing. - Front brake hose fitting and bleeding as Master cylinder was changed recently and I didn't re connect system. - Front fork seals, I would do both as I have no idea when they were last done. So that would be new forl oil too. - the speedo reading is on the blink and the fuel light I'm not sure works (I just used to fill up every three days - I think this is just the way I''ve wired it!) - one screw missing from rear undertray, needs to be fitted. - 'Airbox' covers. I have these in chrome ready to fit. - chain adjusting - Can't remember if I connected the front indicators after changing them. - front downpipe needs a clean and polish Thats about it. Loads or little jobs but I just haven't had the time. Would cost much other than the fork seals, fork oil and cost of MOT to get back on the road. The main issue for me is time - and the lack of it! But given the response I think I might just pull me finger out and have a late night or two to fix it up!! But if you aren't scared of a little work then let me know! |
