Which disc lock?

After a decent disk lock for when I ride to work. Traffic was awful today and the bike would have saved probably 20 mins and not done 18mpg either. I'm thinking Abus but any alternatives would be good given the price. But then again is it you get what you pay for?

Another problem is when I get to work I need a permit off the lease owner of the shop. That's ordered but where do I put it? These are known to be quite arsey when checking so not sure where is best.

Would it fit in a second tax disc holder?

+1. Xx14 for me. Added bonus of an alarm built in.

So why are they good? Are they reliable?

If you're hamfisted they're a pain in the ****. You only have 5 seconds to get it unlocked before it blows your ear drums. Takes some practice and a deep breath before you go in for the kill. The upside is there is no way in hell anyone can get it off without making a lot of noise, nor can you ride off with it on unless you're deaf.

Would definitely recommend it but you need to keep the lock lubricated and clean.

Its worth taking a chain and lock.
Leave it at work locked to what ever you anchor it too.

Motrax Vishas is the only one I'd buy as it's the only one that slightly difficult to remove. I have 3 of these for the three bikes in our household!
