Fitting an exhaust can - pipe cutting?
My delkevic stubby is being delivered tonight so my 05sv is about to be attacked by a hacksaw when i get home from work! Scary..
Any tips? Do i need any pastes or putty when connecting new exhaust? Pat |
Wish me luck!
If you follow the instructions they give you it should just be cut OEM off and slid new one on.
No paste no brackets All you need should be in the box |
Re: Wish me luck!
I would use a little bit of exhaust sealant if you can. My Delkevic stubby has a small leak where the end can slides onto the link pipe. You may be lucky and not need any, but no harm in using a little just in case, or you will only have to re-do it

Re: Wish me luck!
offer the can & link pipe up first....
measure twice, cut once. Oh and it's obligatory to fire the bike up and rev it for 20 seconds while there's no can on there ;) akrapovic had to a do a recall on a load of cans a few years ago because their fittings instructions missed this step. |
Re: Wish me luck!
I didn't do the no can rev but the new can sounds awesome :)
