Do I have a defective brake calliper?

So I rebuilt my brakes with new pads, seals & pistons over the last fews day. Today I reassembled them and found that one of the pads doesn't set like the other.

Here's the right calliper, which appears to be fine.

Now here's the dodgy one.
The bottom pad doesn't sit flush. It appears theres some metal on the middle prong(?) thats stopping it.

The bit of metal is part of the prong

Now my question is, Will this cause problems?

Looks like it might be part of the pad spring. Take the pads out and the spring attached to the caliper can be taken out. On the inboard side there are two 'prongy bits' that sit in a recess in the caliper. Just bend them out a bit and refit the spring back in the caliper.

The pad cushion (the little bit of metal behind the pads doesn't look like it's in properly)

sent from a weapon of mass distraction

If its the actual caliper, file it down. It's only soft ally so take your time.

Thanks guys, I managed to file it down, and the pad now fits flush against the mounts.
